Kehilat Pardes is excited for the opportunity to present special guest Dr. Lindsey Taylor-Guthartz! She is a lecturer who has taught at academic and communal institutions, in the UK and abroad. She will speak to us about the launch of her new book about the changing role of women in Orthodoxy: Challenge and Conformity: the Religious Lives of Orthodox Jewish Women
Dr Taylor-Guthartz received her doctorate from University College London. She has been an affiliated or associated lecturer at the universities of Cambridge, Oxford, and Middlesex, and at Vassar College, New York; has taught at the London School of Jewish Studies; and has presented at international conferences in the Netherlands, Poland, and South Africa. She is currently studying for Orthodox rabbinic ordination at Yeshivat Maharat, New York.
